Mary Anzalone is an American film and theater actor from Central Texas — a storyteller who moves fluidly between the stage and the screen. She is best known for her poetic monologue turned short film, Smoke & Mirrors, and her stage plays Time's Up and Mourning Doves.
Trained at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater in New York City, Mary brings a performer's instinct to her writing — an ear for the way people actually talk, and the patience to sit inside a quiet moment instead of rushing past it. Mourning Doves, drawn in part from her own life and the rural Texas community that raised her, is the clearest expression of that instinct yet.
